New from BCH-1: CashToken Markets — Token discovery, metadata, and analytics in one place
What is BCH-1 Hackcelerator?
BCH-1 Hackcelerator is a builder sprint designed to accelerate Bitcoin Cash projects from idea to traction. We provide real visibility, ecosystem support, and a direct path to further funding. Our goal is to spark real momentum in the emerging Cashtoken economy and surface the next wave of BCH-native products.
Think of it as the zero-to-one ignition track for Bitcoin Cash's programmable era.
Eligibility & Requirements
We're not here to make the connection process more fancy than it needs to be. BCH-1 is designed to back builders who are serious about the future of Bitcoin Cash — and ready to turn ideas into traction.
We accept applications from:
- New ideas built during the sprint
- In-progress projects still in their early phase
- Existing projects in other blockchains interested in migrating
- Vibe coder and experienced developers, as long as you have a product idea
- Both open-source and proprietary projects are welcome
To qualify, your project:
- Must not have received significant external funding (no seed rounds, exchange partnerships, or major grants)
- Demonstrated a primary use-case Bitcoin Cash (BCH) technology
- Must finish with sending a working demo, as well as explanation of the vision
- Must submit a clear business development plan post-sprint
- Must clearly disclose licensing and code availability
We support teams who plan to keep building, not just submit and disappear.
We accept both open-source and proprietary/closed-source projects. However:
- Open-source projects will be expected to find technological moat angles, partially closed source would be encouraged
- Projects must clearly state their licensing model in their application
- Proprietary projects must provide sufficient documentation and working interface for evaluation
Projects will be disqualified if:
- They do not build or intergrate with Bitcoin Cash
- Has already launched with a high degree of polish
- Has previously been repeatedly funded significantly by other schemes
- They submit to Phase 2 without a clear product or vision
- They violate community guidelines or terms of service
Choose Your Track
Each team must select one category when submitting. Tracks are judged independently, with a clear winner and runner-up in each.
TECHNOLOGY TRACK
Innovative infrastructure, developer tooling, and middleware for building on Bitcoin Cash. This is for builders creating the scaffolding: contract compilers, minting SDKs, explorers, simulators, signing flows, APIs — anything that makes BCH and CashTokens easier to build with. Whether you're wrapping complexity, unlocking UTXO capabilities, or pioneering novel DeFi primitives, this track is about empowering others to build faster, better, and with less friction. If your project enables other builders, you're in Technology.
- Contract builders, simulators, or indexers
- Middleware for token transfers, minting, parsing
- Infrastructure for testing, deploying, or integrating BCH contracts
- Cross-chain bridges and interoperability solutions
- Novel DeFi primitives and UTXO innovations
- Privacy solutions
CASHTOKEN SYSTEMS TRACK
On-chain protocols, coordination layers, and incentive systems built with CashTokens. This track is for token-powered logic: DAOs, DEXs, launchpads, NFT economies, staking contracts, auctions, redemption flows, governance layers, and financial instruments. You're not just building an app — you're building a system. A shell. A behavior engine. A protocol someone else might plug into. If your project designs economic or coordination logic, you're in Cashtoken Systems.
- Token economies and DAO platforms
- Staking systems or token-based access models
- NFT projects with utility, yield, auctions, or composability
- DEXs, AMMs, and lending protocols
- Prediction markets and derivatives
- Token-based governance or social contracts
APPLICATIONS TRACK
User-facing apps, tools, and interfaces that activate Bitcoin Cash in the real world. This is for builders shipping apps people can actually use — wallets, dashboards, plugins, bots, payment flows, onboarding tools, or bridges between crypto and real-world utility. It doesn't need to invent a new contract — but it should deliver something usable, frictionless, and real. If your project connects BCH to people, purpose, or problems — you're in Applications.
- On-chain messaging and group coordination
- Social propagation and social media tools
- Games and interactive experiences
- Social identity layers and privacy tools
- Commerce/payment integrations
- Any product that brings BCH and CashTokens utility closer to users
Note: We're especially interested in filling ecosystem gaps and building on existing infrastructure.

What Makes BCH-1 Different?
Most hackathons move fast, but burn out. Most accelerators offer structure, but move slow. We hybridized the model: the momentum of a hackathon with just enough scaffolding to help projects gain real traction.
How Projects Will Be Judged
Each project will be evaluated based on six key criteria. Bonus points for shipping live prototypes, attracting real users, and using Cashtokens or advanced scripting in creative ways.
How far did you get? Does it work live?
We value working prototypes over slide decks. Can users actually interact with your project? Is it deployed and functional? Partial implementations are acceptable, but the more complete and polished, the better.
Is it well-presented? Can people understand it fast?
Clear communication matters. Your demo, documentation, and pitch should make it easy for anyone to understand what you built, why it matters, and how to use it. Avoid jargon without explanation.
Does it help BCH grow? Does it solve a real problem?
Projects that have a clear angle on solving a real problem will score high. Does your project make BCH more useful, accessible, or powerful? Does it fill a gap or improve on existing solutions?
Does it push boundaries or bring new mechanics?
We're looking for fresh ideas and innovative approaches. Are you doing something new with Cashtokens? Experimenting with novel contract patterns? Bringing a unique perspective to a common problem?
Are people talking about it? Are you showing up in public?
This isn't just a code contest — narrative traction matters. Did you share your progress on social media? Did you generate interest in the community? Engagement, posts, and visibility contribute to your score.
Do you have a clear post-hack plan?
We support teams who plan to keep building, not just submit and disappear. What's your roadmap after the hackcelerator? How will you sustain development? Do you have a path to users or funding?
Remember: Projects will be ranked by solution vision, technical genius and narrative traction. Social strategy, businss intelligence, and use-case design all contribute to your final evaluation.

Applications will open on our DoraHacks page. You'll need to provide information about your team, project idea, and which track you're competing in. More details will be announced soon.
Yes! Both solo developers and teams (2-4 members) are welcome to participate. Solo developers compete on equal footing with teams.
No. You can join with a brand new idea and build it entirely during the hackcelerator. However, early-stage projects that aren't yet monetized or funded are also welcome to participate.
You must choose one primary track when submitting. Choose the track that best aligns with your project's main value proposition. If you're truly unsure, consider which track's judging criteria best matches your strengths.
BCH-1 is a fully virtual hackcelerator. You can participate from anywhere in the world. All workshops, check-ins, and demo day will be conducted online.
Great! We encourage building on existing infrastructure. Projects that leverage existing BCH tools, Cashtoken standards, or other ecosystem projects are welcome and often encouraged.
Prizes will be distributed in BCH (Bitcoin Cash) to winning projects after Demo Day. Payment details will be collected from winners following the announcement.
Yes! Both open-source and proprietary projects are accepted. Open-source projects are especially encouraged for the Tooling Track. You must clearly state your licensing model in your application.
Winning teams and promising runner-ups will be invited into the BCH-1 founder chat with ongoing access to mentors, partner intros, networking channels, and post-hack opportunities (grants, bounties, follow-on showcases).
Yes. To remain eligible, teams must submit three public updates (via X/Twitter, Reddit, Farcaster, or blog) during the sprint. BCH-1 will amplify these through official channels to help you build momentum.
You'll receive 1:1 mid-sprint mentor check-ins, weekly Wednesday all-hands calls, optional track-specific office hours, and access to technical support channels. We're here to help you succeed.
Minor adjustments are fine, but major pivots may affect your eligibility. If you're considering a significant change, discuss it with mentors during your check-in to ensure it stays within scope.
